Covid, latest Gimbe data: infections reduced (-6.9%), but deaths over 1000

Rome, April 8 – Slight decrease in new cases of Covid-19 in the week between March 30 and April 5: it was 469,479, or -6.9% compared to 504,487 last week. A drop that went hand in hand with that of tampons (-4.7%). On the other hand, the number of deaths is increasing, returning to over a thousand, passing from 953 to 1,049, with an increase of 10.1%. These are the main findings of the latest Independent Weekly Monitor released by the Gimbe Foundation.
