Def 2022-25 published, reduction of healthcare expenditures is expected (-0.6% per year)

Rome, April 11 – The Ministry of Economy and Finance published it on the internet (Click here) last Friday Def 2022, the Finance and Finance Document setting out the economic and budgetary framework and public finance targets for the next three years and which – as always – also contains a chapter dedicated to reform initiatives on the government’s agenda for the resumption of the country’s economy.
Healthcare is still one of the key areas of the document: for the current year the estimated expenditure at the end of the year is 131.710 million euros, 3% more than in 2021. But the forecast for 2023-2025 is that of a reduction at an average annual rate of 0.6%. Over the same period, nominal GDP will grow by an average of 3.8%
