Municipal Pharmacy Day: “It’s time for new paychecks”

ADVERTISING
Rome, 7 December – For Assofarm, the acronym for Public Pharmacies, the issue of pharmacy pay reform remains the crucial hub for securing fthe conditions of sustainability that are necessary to secure a future and – above all – to provide Italian citizens with a medicinal aid worthy of the name. And it is certainly no coincidence that the club presides Venanzio Gizzi (in the picture) was the first to raise the issue, at a conference in Rome in 2006, and then repeated it, starring, along with Federfarma and the names of the distributors, also at the conclusion of the agreement with Aifa (it was the year 2013). A case that, however, fell directly on the rope, for the net of the Mef and the Ministry of Health, as well as for the “boycott” of the Regions, which – not involved in the process of determining the agreement (and it was definitely a mistake) – consumed their revenge by rowing against the “team” finally and almost desperately reached Aifa, pharmacies and distributors.

Assofarm, however, remains convinced that among the many dossiers that pharmacists and pharmacists have to deal with, the most urgent and strategic is that of remuneration. Which must be radically modified, in the light of the transformations that have taken place in the service, the role and operation of local pharmacies. Inevitably, then, the new fee becomes the issue, indeed, the mandatory question of the 5th National Day of Municipal Pharmacies that was celebrated by the association that took place in Genoa last week.
