Risk of thrombosis, FDA restricts use of Covid Janssen vaccine, even Ema alert

Rome, May 10 – The US Food and Drug Administration has limited the use of the Johnson & Johnson Covid vaccine in adults only because of the risk of a rare but life-threatening form of thrombosis. The restriction also stipulates that the vaccine is only for those 18 years of age and older, for whom other vaccines are not available or clinically appropriate, or who choose Janssen as their only vaccine of choice, otherwise they will not be vaccinated.
